My heart is broken </3 Literally.
October 18, 2008
So, I was at orchestra on Wednesday. During break I was standing on the stage and talking to my friend, Sen. He told me that he liked to play Disney showtunes on his flute in his spare time. He proceeded to play “A Whole New World,” and I exclaimed “THAT’S SO CUTE!!” I told him that I like to play video game music in my spare time, at which point I ran to get my violin out of it’s case. I practically skipped/ran over to him, my excitable side having gotten the best of me.
Then, being the clumsy doofus that I am, I fell right into the timpani and heard a painful CRUNCH.
I glanced down at my violin, and the fun was over because it had a huge crack in the front. On the side where the chin rest isn’t O_O
My mom brought it to the man we bought it from the next day. Luckily, as far as accidents go, this one was pretty good. The crack is in a place that won’t affect the sound quality. THANK GOD <3 It’s going to cost me $1200 to fix it, which sucks, but it’s definitely doable.
Until then, I have to play on the violin that my mom and dad shared when they were still learning with me :p
Oh, by the way, I named my violin: Ibby! As in I.B. As in “Immortal Beloved.” <3
Which Serial Killer are you?

| Which famous Serial Killer are you?Elizabeth Báthory
You’re Elizabeth Báthory. Like Elizabeth, you seem well liked amongst others. As a Hungarian Countess, it was difficult for people to believe that she could have been one of the most sadistic female serial killers of all time. It has been said that Elizabeth tortured and murdered over 600 young women (although only convicted of 80) and bathed in the blood of virgins to retain her youth. Whether it’s your popularity, innocence, or your friendly nature; you can shock people with the things they don’t know about you. |

Thank you so much for 15 views today
That’s a lot… for me. Haha.
A bit of an update:
I had my lesson with that college professor. She taught me a few techniques that really helped the way I think of things. She taught me what she called a “C stroke.” (I think Galamian came up with it or something?) When you’re at the frog, you pull the frog a little towards you. As you go towards the middle, you straighten out. When you get to the tip, you pull the tip in towards you. This makes somewhat of a “C,” shape. She said she had never seen anybody pick up on it that fast
She also told me to think of my bow arm and left hand fingers as overcooked spaghetti. Which… is something my teacher has been trying to get me to do forever, but I just needed it to be said differently. Hahaha.
And she gave me a CD of her playing unaccompanied Bach
I’m probably gonna go see her in concert. Yay.
Thanks again for reading, guys <3
