Just so you guys know; my violin is back home and perfectly functional 
You have no idea the relief I’m feeling right now O_O”
It sounds a little funky because of new strings and also because the face hasn’t settled yet, but it’s worlds better than the piece of crap I was playing on while mine was in the shop.
